A Brilliantly Lit Path

Welcome to today’s meditation! Thanks for looking in!

But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18 NKJV) As the shining light increases from twilight to noonday splendor, so the course of the just increases in purity. The path of the righteous also increases in wisdom, blessings, and revelation knowledge.

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star rises in your hearts. (2 Peter 1:19 NKJV) The “prophetic word” refers to the passages in the Old Testament that foretold the coming of our Savior. And since we have acknowledged His birth, life, death, and resurrection—we may be even more assured of the fulfillment of ALL of the prophecies concerning Him. The “morning star” referred to is Jesus. This verse advises us to pay attention to God’s Word as a light (radiance, luminosity) that shines in a dark environment. At times, God’s Word is the only brightness in the atmosphere in which we live.

But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations— ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’— as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star. (Revelation 2:25-28 NKJV) Jesus is making promises to all of those who hold fast to His Word, and stand. When we “keep His works,” we are following His example by ushering in God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven—by performing signs and miracles. Jesus said we would do even greater works than He did. (John 14:12) Last of all, Jesus promises to give us Himself—the Morning Star! Since we have already received Jesus in our hearts, we are blessed to walk a brilliantly lit path!

What Are Your "Dry Bones"?

Hello! Good day! We’re meditating in the book of Ezekiel.

4Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. 5Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: 6And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord. 7So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. 8And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. (Ezekiel 37:4-8 KJV)

“Dry bones” can represent things that used to be alive but are now dead, such as:

• “Lost causes” such as dead or broken relationships;

• Dead feelings (emotions);

• Dead, dry marriages;

• Injured, wounded people who have dried up spiritually because of their past hurts;

• Those who have been so abused and injured in life that it has caused them to have mental, emotional, and/or social dysfunction.

The Lord impressed me that we can prophesy to the “dead” things in our lives and families by following the steps outlined in Ezekiel. Say:

1. Hear the Word of the Lord! Use Scripture passages to decree over them, as the Holy Spirit of God leads you. Speak blessings upon them.

2. Because the Lord said, “Ye shall live,” speak LIFE unto those things. Call forth the things that do not exist as though they do.

3. After the bones reassembled and connected, and the flesh and skin came upon them, they still needed breath (life in them). Invite the Holy Spirit to breathe on these slain things or people and to infuse these them with His life.

4. The “bones” may answer, “Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!” Reply something like this, “The Lord has opened your graves, and caused you to come up from them. He has caused you to return to the land of promise and blessings. The Lord has put His Spirit in you, and you now live. He has placed you in your own land—your own inheritance. The Lord has performed it. There is nothing too hard for the Lord. (Gen. 18:14; Matt. 19:26)”

Allow the Holy Spirit to tailor this to fit each situation in your life. Use those Bible passages that the Lord brings to your remembrance, and quickens to your heart. Speak LIFE and blessings to the “dry bones” in your past. Minister the healing balm of God’s Word to the wounded and hopeless people in your life and acquaintance.

The Lord has spoken His Word, and He has performed it entirely. (Joshua 23:14) This is our victory!

You Are Blameless!

Hi, friend! Thanks for joining our meditation. Did you know that you’re blameless in Jesus? This is worth pondering.

Whoever walks blamelessly will be saved. (Prov. 28:18a NKJV) You DO walk blamelessly because Jesus has redeemed you and you’re covered by His blood. Praise God!

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1 KJV) You DO walk in the Spirit because you are born-again and Jesus lives in you. Therefore, you’re not under condemnation.

And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Cor. 6:11 NKJV) You’ve been sanctified and justified by the Holy Spirit.

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. (Romans 6:14 NKJV) You live under GRACE! It has been said that “grace” makes what used to be hard to do, easy! God enables you to do all that He has called you to do and to fulfill His calling upon your life.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.  (Romans 8:14 NKJV)  You are a child of the Most High God.

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. (2 Cor. 1:21, 22 NKJV) You are established, anointed, and sealed by God. And you were given the gift of the Holy Spirit as a guarantee.  Hallelujah!

Walk in your divine identity today!

Related to Jesus

Photo courtesy of:  dpower (www.morguefile.com)

Greetings! Spring is in the air (at least in North America), and people are looking forward to pleasant outdoor activities. Good times are ahead with friends and relatives. Speaking of relatives, here’s what Jesus said about His relatives:

For whosoever shall DO the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. (Matthew 12:50 KJV – emphasis added – see also, Mk. 3:35)

Jesus enlarges the circle of His family to include spiritual relationships. Those spiritual relationships become evident to all by the characteristic of DOING THE WILL OF GOD.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (1 John 2:17 KJV) The person who carries out and obeys the will of God has eternal life! Praise God!

Obedience to His will may mean many different things throughout the course of a lifetime. It means obeying what we read in the Bible and also obeying what the Holy Spirit prompts us to do in our hearts.

It means that we align our lifestyle with the Word of God. For example, Mark 16:17, 18 says: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Are we allowing this Word to dwell in us richly and produce the fruit of which it speaks?

Obedience can mean forgiving someone who has hurt and abused us; it may mean submitting to the authority that God has placed above us in our jobs, our churches, or our families. Obedience to God is lived out in every area of our lives, and it’s a day-to-day and moment-by-moment choice that we each must make.

As we choose to obey and DO the will of God, we are giving evidence that we are related to Jesus. He is our brother!
