I’m thinking today about how much God’s cares for us, and I’m so happy you’ve joined me!
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Ps. 18:2)
In the Bible, God is telling us in this verse that He is our stabilizer and safe place, and that He will deliver us from trouble. Knowing that He is on our side and that He is the One that we can always trust gives us strength and stability. He will save us!
The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. 15 The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food in due season. 16 You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. 17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. 18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. 19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. 20 The Lord preserves all who love Him . . . (Psalm 145:14-20a NKJV – underlining and emphasis added)
This passage of Scripture shows that the Lord is with us to help us when we need help, and when we are burdened by our cares and our emotions. It reminds us that the Lord satisfies the desire of every living thing! The Lord is near to us when we call upon Him, and he hears our cry. He saves us. He preserves ALL who love Him, praise God!
Preserve means to protect, defend, save, care for, and sustain. God loves us and watchfully (attentively, vigilantly) cares for us as a result of His great love. Think about His watchful care for you today.
