David reminded himself of past battles and victories. (testimonies) He fed on God’s past faithfulness, delighted in the Lord, and the Lord gave him his heart’s desires.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:3-4 NKJV)
When you allow yourself to be encouraged by the past victories that God has given you, you’re feeding on His faithfulness.
When you remember the miracles, provisions, and answered prayers, you’re stirring up your faith, and meditating upon the nature of God. You’re reminding yourself that He is good; that He is FOR you; that He loves you and provides for you under all circumstances.
